Powder & Bulk Solids Editor'sSpotlight J u n e 2 0 1 8 24 • Screening, Classifying, & Separation Electroformed Sieve Products Precision Eforming produces a full line of electroformed sieve products to meet any process, environmental, or design requirements for absolute filtration applications with a range from 2 to 2000 microns in any single mi- cron increment for its sieve line. Electroformed sieves feature con- sistently tight tolerances and highly accurate edge acuity that determine particle size for our client's most precision sensitive areas. The pre- cision and durability of the electro- formed nickel sieves allow them to be used in not only production control but in production environments themselves. Precision Eforming, Cortland, NY 607-753-7730 www.precisioneforming.com Dual-Motor Screeners The Concept Screener Line (CSL) units from Best Process Solutions (BPS) are powered by twin rotating motor vibrators designed to give a linear and straight line type conveyance action. The unit propels the product forward with a posi- tive conveyance action designed to offer better stratification than typical sloped gravity or orbital type screeners. They are available in mild steel or stainless steel 304 or 316. Screen options include finger screen, perforated plate, wire mesh, and wedge wire. Options include dust-tight covers, multiple screen desks, and multiple discharge locations. They are also available in single motor designs. Best Process Solutions Inc., Brunswick, OH 330-220-1440 www.bpsvibes.com Modular Grate Magnet Eriez introduces the powerful Easy to Clean DSC (dust-tight, sanitary, convert- ible) grate in housing magnet. Dust-tight construction was the central focus when developing this magnet. The DSC handles fine powders better and some head velocity pressure, while maintaining a positive seal. It is a solution for customers who want easy-cleaning features, but cannot have any spillage or leaking on their process floor. The standard housing on this new magnet is sanitary on the interior. Eriez also provides customized options to meet customers' specific needs, including sanitary-welded tie bars. Eriez, Erie, PA 814-835-6000 www.eriez.com Lifting Clamps Great Western Manufacturing's new stainless steel lifting clamps are designed to allow easy access for maintenance or inspection of the QA Series in-line pneumatic and gravity flow sifters by one person. It is no longer necessary to remove sieves individually to inspect screens, gaskets, and cleaners. Once the clamp has been secured the pneumatic system lifts the top dome to allow inspec- tion of the second screen. Multiple clamps allow inspection of lower screens. Great Western Mfg. Company, Inc., Leavenworth, KS 800-682-3121 www.gwmfg.com Toll Screening Elcan Industries toll screening facility has eight full bays dedicated to toll screening. The com- pany runs the equipment they offer for sale ev- ery single day and has the hands on experience to make it work. The combination of advanced technology and seasoned techniques provides solutions to the most difficult to screen products. Elcan can make products separations as fine as 10 microns, but has also provided cuts as coarse as 10mm. The facility has the capacity to handle from 100 up to one million lb and can take in material by the truckload. Elcan Industries, Tuckahoe, NY 914-381-7500 elcanindustries.com Flexible Sleeve for Sifters BFM fittings can be used on any brand of sifter. They provide a more efficient and tool-free replacement for standard hose clamp-style flexible connectors. They are offered in a wide variety of materials, diameters, and lengths. BFM fittings can be used in any industry where flexible hose couplings are required, including sanitary applications. They are easy to install and snap-in-place without tools, saving prod- uct and eliminating operator error. The design works well with offset, vibrating, and oscillating equipment. They eliminate pinch points and gaps that allow pow- ders to leak, preventing a major cause of explosions and premature sleeve wear.
