SupplyCare provides a complete overview of levels and product inventory in a company's tanks and silos worldwide. Enhancements in SupplyCare 3.0 include hardware and software options allowing level, flow, and pressure data to be displayed at a desk or handheld device regardless of location—and advanced inventory tools for forecasting, reporting, stock analysis, and other functions. SupplyCare Enterprise runs by default in an Apache Tomcat-environment on an appli- cation server as a service under Microsoft Windows. Endress+Hauser, Greenwood, IN 317-535-2108 www.us.endress.com Pancake Feeder The pancake feeder solves both stack up height and flow issues on bulk pow- der processing. When mated to the dis- charge of the bulk bag unloader outlet, stack up height is greatly reduced when compared to conventional airlocks. It works well on powders that flood easily, like starches and cocoas. When mounted at the inlet or outlet of a volumet- ric feeder, flooding issues are no longer an issue. Its slim profile mates to common ANSI flanges, which makes ret- rofitting to an existing process a possibility. It is available in sizes from 6 to 12 in. in diameter, and with an electric drive or pneumatic actuator. Page 14 Selecting Size Reduction Equipment Tom Warne, Schutte-Buffalo Hammermill, says the goal when buying size reduction equipment should be to find not just a machine that is able to meet a threshold, but rather one that can achieve optimal performance. Page 6 Checking Loss-in-Weight Feeder Accuracy Online without Interrupting Production Online feed rate accuracy tests without interrupting production are available today and have proven to be a valuable tool to the processor.
