Fakuma Preview Global Plastics rePort 2015 53 Haitian International Germany (Eber- mannsdorf) will mold a polypropylene (PP) salad cup on its MAII900 machine at booth 1101-1103 in hall A1. Mars series molders are the most success- ful servo-hydraulic injection molding machines in the world, with sales of more than 120,000 units, according to the company, which has its international headquarters in Ningbo, China. The lid for the cup, also made of PP, is produced by a fully-electric 1500-kN Zhafir Venus II series in four seconds. The 2+2 cavity stack mold as well as the mold for the cup are provided by the Axmann Co. Haitian also will showcase its Jupiter II Series 4500 plus, which it describes as its smallest two-platen system with an energy-saving, servo-hydraulic Mars technology drive. Just prior to the show, the company will break ground on its new production hall. When completed in early 2016, the hall will allow Haitian to assemble a significant number of machines for the European market. Aerogen highlights flame- retardant technology Surface adhesion specialist Aerogen (Alton, UK) returns to Fakuma (hall A6, booth 6508) to educate attendees on its flame-treatment technology for the surface improvement of plastics. Flame treatment is widely used throughout the KraussMaffei will highlight integrated plasticizing, control and automation systems at Fakuma.
