The ie3 gearmotors run cooler and with less noise and, as they are sealed for life and require practically no maintenance, significantly reduce costly downtime. As with of the company's products, these gearmotors are compact in size, offer high torque at low speed, use standard high-grade grease for lifetime lubrication and reduced maintenance/downtime, and are more efficient than worm gearboxes as a result of hardened hypoid gearing. They also offer enhanced durability using the company's ultra-long-lasting e-coat paint and lubrication through premium H1 food-grade grease. Brother Gearmotors, Pack Expo Las Vegas Booth S-5856 Online induction seal verification A simplified version of the Induction Integrity Verification System (I2VS) for bottles, which employs a pioneering application of thermal imaging for induction integrity assurance, will be introduced. The new I²VS Lite utilizes the same dynamic thermal imaging technology as the original I²VS and, in terms of both machines' primary purpose of induction seal inspection and analysis, is identical to its predecessor. However, for the first time, the technology is presented in a configuration suitable to a wide range of packagers including those in food, cosmetics, cleaning supplies, automotive and other industries. The systems provide online, 100% induction sealing integrity analysis of bottles without line slowdown by performing inspection through the closed cap, without physical contact in an entirely passive, non– destructive fashion. DIR Technologies, Pack Expo Las Vegas/Pharma Expo Booth N-806 Faster vision systems The new CV2 Vision Systems, with speeds up to eight times faster than the CV1 vision system model, provide high processing power to reduce cycle times and increase throughput. The systems include Epson RC+ development to reduce overall development time for vision guidance applications for robots and vision-based inspection applications. Both GigE and USB 2.0 cameras are supported and up to six cameras (four GigE and two USB 2.0) can be connected to one CV2 system. A 640x480 resolution camera is standard, though 2- and 5-megapixel cameras are available, including color models. Standard features include Find Tools, Inspection Tools, Construction Tools, Color Match Tools, Code Reader and Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Epson Robots, Pack Expo Las Vegas Booth S-7254
